“Our key objective and concept was to deliver a comprehensive and influential vision that builds on the Auckland City Queens Wharf Vision ”
The question “What will the Queens Wharf look like in the future?” is the question that has captured the imagination of many Aucklanders and interested urban design spectators around the world.
Urbanlogic was instrumental in assembling an experienced design and multi-disciplinary project management team with Thresher Associates and Urban Solutions to put forward a concept.
Our key objective and concept was to deliver a comprehensive and influential vision that builds on the Auckland City Queens Wharf Vision and the overall vision for Auckland.
The idea was to have an active 24/7 public realm space where people can gather to exchange ideas, create communities and engage with the natural and built environment around them. Within the constraints of a fixed $7m public realm budget we allowed for all aspects of the project through to making it all happen on the ground.
