Victoria Development is set against the backdrop of Taupo, Tauhara Ridge will be a leading sustainable suburb in New Zealand. The first phase of this development was constructed in 2009, the public realm is a key component to the overall design of the development.
Urbanlogic Director Ian J Vincent were the project landscape architect, masterplanner and detail designer for Victoria Stage 2, the public realm includes rain gardens, stormwater management, wetland planting and traffic calming measures insuring pedestrian priority.
Taking a truly sustainable approach means creating good urban form and building real communities that utilise the best thinking and effectively get more for less, improving the performance of individual buildings while reducing their environmental impact.
A sustainable building approach at the individual lot level not only makes a marked impact to individual households, but has a significant collective benefit to the wider community.
