New ideas and novel thinking have prompted Urbanlogic to pay special attention
to both the formal and informal spaces within the public realm. We believe that the
smaller scale spaces between buildings, those that form the essential backdrop and
inner weave of a city - are just as important as beautifully landscaped parks and
squares.
Taking this a step further we have also founded Designing for Tomorrow, a world first urban design social network for everyone with a committed interest in the built environment, an information hub devoted to tracking the future shape of emerging and cutting edge designs and sustainable trends in the built environment.

Ian J. Vincent
Ian J Vincent BA (Hons) MA, LI, NZILA is the director of Urbanlogic Ltd, with over 14 years professional experience in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design. Who has worked on some of the largest and creative urban design developments and public realm projects in New Zealand and the UK.

Landscape architecture is one of our core disciplines, exemplifying our approach to the
design process and acting as a basis from which we apply our considerable expertise to develop creative and visionary design
solutions.
We recognise towns and cities as richly diverse, eclectic environments in a continual
cycle of adaptation to social, economic and environmental change.
Any urban environment needs to be designed with a thorough understanding of a city or
town’s component parts.
We do not arrive with pre-conceived ideas. We believe the first important challenge is
to fully understand all the elements of place,people, history, culture unique to each site.
